DeLoach joins Center to expand policy, media functions
Arkansas native Jessica DeLoach is the new senior director of policy and media for the Center for a Better South, a regional think tank that develops pragmatic ideas for thinking Southern leaders.
“Jessica brings a fresh zeal and enthusiasm to the Center that will allow it to spread its work to policymakers, the media and thinkers across the South,” said Center President and Chairman Andy Brack of Charleston, S.C. “We’re thrilled with how she already is collecting and distributing major public policy news and trends every day through our Web site, www.BetterSouth.org.”
A native of El Dorado, Arkansas, DeLoach has served in several capacities in the nonprofit, political and professional sectors. She has experience in public affairs, political organizing, grassroots campaigning, fundraising and volunteer organization.
As a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, she served as vice president of the student body. She triple-majored in political science, theater arts and liberal studies. She also has a certification in philanthropy and voluntary studies from Georgetown University.
Active with the Young Democrats of America and its Arkansas affiliate, DeLoach is a member of the board of the Dreamland Ballroom. She lives in Little Rock.
